Fondazione Oronzio e Niccolò De Nora.

Fondazione Oronzio De Nora was officially registered on May 25, 1998, by the Ministry of University and Technological Scientific Research Decree (M.U.R.S.T.) published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic on June 15, 1998. 

After Founding Member Niccolò De Nora's passing, his sons Michele and Federico, together with all the board members, approved the changing of its name to Fondazione Oronzio e Niccolò De Nora on September 22, 2005. 

Our saying Durantes Vincunt (ancient latin, Persistence Prevails) is based on an anecdote about Mr. Oronzio de Nora's school attendance.

When he was a teenager (and rather resolute by nature), he was in mild conflict with the headmaster of his institute, who was in a position to fail him.
The Headmaster, a mathematics professor, was very severe and, during the final examination, determined to fail the young Oronzio again.
After a tough test, however, he recognized Oronzio's excellent preparation and said, "You are the winner." 
Mr. Oronzio's father congratulated his son on passing the exam and said,
"Your saying should be Durantes Vincunt."
