Rayox® UV advanced oxidation systems supplied by De Nora combine high-energy medium-pressure UV lamps with hydrogen peroxide to generate hydroxyl radicals. These radicals rapidly destroy dissolved organic contaminants, including compounds that resist conventional water and wastewater treatment.
The system delivers fast reaction rates, high removal efficiency and reliable performance in a compact, modular footprint suitable for industrial water treatment applications and advanced water disinfection technologies.

Rayox systems use a proprietary medium-pressure lamp housed in a quartz sleeve to deliver intense UV radiation into contaminated water. When hydrogen peroxide is added, the UV light activates it to form hydroxyl radicals, which react within microseconds to oxidize organic pollutants.
The process also benefits from direct UV photolysis for contaminants that absorb in the UV-C range. Fully automated PLC controls, patented cleaning mechanisms, and skid-mounted modular designs support safe, dependable performance even in demanding industrial environments.
