Contaminant Removal Systems

Trace contaminants and Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CEC) are being detecting in increasing numbers of water sources, both surface and ground. In addition, wastewater discharge standards are becoming increasingly stringent. Fortunately, De Nora has multiple technologies to help you meet your most difficult water treatment challenges.

Adsorption and Trace Contaminant Removal

Arsenic, nitrate and other contaminants can be removed simply and easily with SORB Trace Contaminant Removal systems using a simple, one-step adsorption process using state-of-the-art media selected for your application.

Advanced Oxidation Process

Useful in treating a wide variety of organic contaminants found in trace amounts.  Advanced Oxidation Processes use a combination of an oxidant and UV light to produce highly energetic free radicals that can destroy a wide variety of difficult to remove organic contaminants by converting them to carbon dioxide and water.

Advanced Biological Filtration

The DE NORA TETRA® ABF bioactive filter combines ozone generation with biologically active filtration for use in municipal water applications. The process targets micropollutant reduction and reduces disinfection byproducts in drinking water and potable reuse applications.  Ozone-enhanced biological active filtration treats micropollutants such as NDMA, MTBE, 1,4-dioxane, Endocrine Disrupting Compounds (EDC), and other contaminants of merging concern (CEC).

The ABF process also reduces unwanted disinfection byproducts (DBPs) in drinking water treatment plants.  Treats TOC, COD and BOD
