Anna Chiara Svelto

Born in Milan on 29 October 1968. Anna Chiara Svelto graduated with honors in Law from the University of Milan in 1992 and is qualified to practice as a lawyer. She is an expert in corporate law, M&A, and corporate governance. Between 2016 and 2018, she was Chief General Counsel of UBI Banca SpA. From 2000 to 2016, she was Director of Corporate Affairs and Compliance and Secretary to the Board of Directors at the Pirelli Group. She played an active role in the Group's major operations, contributing to developing an advanced Corporate Governance model. Prior to this, she worked in the Legal Affairs Department of Edison Spa and was Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Shell Italia Spa. Since 2014, she has held several Board directorships in major listed companies, including Enel (2014-2023), ASTM and Brunello Cucinelli, Technoprobe. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Terna Credito Emiliano, Interpump, and Avvale (formerly Techedge). She is named on the Global Board Ready list of women promoted by the Professional Women Association, included in Mille Curricula Eccellenti, a list of 1,000 leading professional women created by the Bellisario Foundation, and was named by StartupItalia among the top 150 Unstoppable Women. She is married and has two children.
