De Nora Permelec Yokohama
De Nora Permelec (DNJ), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Industrie De Nora (IDN), was established in 1969 as a 50-50 joint venture between De Nora and Mitsui to supply electrodes to the Japanese Chlor-alkali industry. In 2024, DNJ transferred the head office function to Yokohama, the prefectural capital of Kanagawa Prefecture and the second-most populous city in Japan. DNJ has two business sites in Fujisawa and Okayama.
Each business site has a factory and R&D center. Fujisawa Works supplies electrodes for the chlor-alkali industry and several other applications. Okayama Works is an electrolyzer assembly and maintenance facility. It also manages industrial plant engineering. DNJ provides the above services for Japan, Asia, and other countries.
