What is a Platinized Anode?

De Nora has been manufacturing platinized titanium anodes since the 1960s.

These custom configured anodes combine the catalytic properties of platinum with the mechanical robustness and corrosion resistance of titanium substrates.

The formulations are typically used in hard chromium plating, precious metal electroplating (rhodium, platinum and gold baths) and in applications taking advantage of the low anodic potential associated with platinum.

The Benefits of De Nora Platinized Anodes

The titanium substrate is entirely plated with platinum metal, assuring the high-quality and product durability that is distinctive to De Nora supplied anodes.

De Nora platinum anodes are:

  • resistant to corrosion in aggressive electrolyte environments
  • uniform in platinum coating thickness
  • customizable according to customer’s specific design and geometry
